Busy practices seeks an experienced Full-time Medical Assistant/Front & Back Office in our Oakland office. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence.

Job Responsibilities

This position will consist of front and back office duties including:

• Responding to patient calls

• Prior authorizations

• Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)

• Scanning and faxing

• Taking vital signs and height/weight measurements

• Preparing/cleaning treatment rooms for patient examinations & procedures

• Assisting MD during procedures

• Practicing sterile technique

Requirements

• Medical Assisting: 1+ years, including familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorizations

Mandatory Qualifications

• Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills

• Medical terminology

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Comfort with interacting with the elderly and disabled

• Comfort with bodily fluids

• Strong computer skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)

• Preferred 1+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical clinic

• Bilingual – Spanish
