Description

General Purpose:  Responsible for core software maintenance and ongoing configuration.  Serves as a resource to staff for core software questions and provides additional core software training.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily and monthly core system processing routines.
  2. Review all end of period processes ensuring no errors or process terminations.
  3. Research, identify and develop solutions to solve application failures and issues.
  4. Coordinate user access to core software.
  5. Maintain staff privileges in Core System.
  6. Test software updates and distribute related documentation.
  7. Develops “SymForm” forms to support core system workflows.
  8. Help coordinate core processing system projects to ensure new modules and functionality are setup and tested prior to release.
  9. Assist with project management, functional design, testing, and training to ensure successful completion of initiatives and projects.
  10. Assist in administration of Synapsys and Synergy to ensure efficient daily operation.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Maintain core security standards to address confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data.
  2. Serve as back up support to maintain and administer parameters, defaults and system settings within the core.
  3. Coordinate vendors and vendor relationships to maintain a positive working relationship that benefits the Credit Union and ensures reliable, high quality service.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned by Core Systems Manager.

Job Knowledge

  1. Knowledge of modern principles and practices of technology, systems integration, and project management.
  2. Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, composition, and arithmetic.
  3. Knowledge of Credit Union rules, products, services, regulations, and procedures.
  4. Knowledge of Credit Union philosophies, practices, policies, and interrelated functions.
  5. Knowledge of project management standards and practices.

  7. Ability to lead teams through projects.
  8. A strong ability to communicate with all levels of staff, stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.  
  9. Maintain updated knowledge of Credit Union rules, products, services, regulations and procedures.

  6. Ability to handle daily routine with moderate freedom to read and act upon various situations.
  7. Ability to prioritize duties, handle multiple tasks, and produce a high volume of work in timely manner that is accurate and of high quality.
  8. Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities and elicit cooperation from all levels of staff and management.

Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)

Position requires a four year college level of language, math and reasoning skills.  Ideal candidate should have at least three years’ experience deploying technology solutions and managing teams. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred.

Qualified individuals will have an interest in technology and strong critical thinking skills.

This is a job that requires moderate physical effort in that it involves stand-up training.  The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations.  The job requires a degree of attention to details.
