Essential Functions

• Overall responsible for the execution and help in maintaining compliance with environmental compliance programs including but not limited to: Storm Water, Spill Prevention, Chemical Control, Wastewater, potable water, air, soil, nitrogen, waste management, boiler management programs.
• Work with the Compliance Manager to verify compliance to the company’s Spill Prevention Countermeasure Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
• Work with the Compliance Manger to complete Monthly and Annual reporting for environmental programs.
• Helping facilitate and create procedures and execution of how to guides on functions of the environmental programs.
• Create and implement facility sustainability efforts in accordance with the company initiatives.
• Collecting samples for water, soil, air, as necessary for third party laboratory testing.
• Collecting information and submitting reports to Compliance Manager.
• Uphold company waste program and create waste programs as needed.
• Advocate cross department including farm and production.
• Travel to multiple company sites and locations within a 100-mile radius.
• Attend 3^rd party and county inspections as they occur, that pertain to environmental compliance.
• Verify all county certificates and permits are on file as pertaining to environmental compliance.
• Shall dress and behave in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Good Agricultural Practices (GAP’s), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s), when applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and excel.
• Go getter – eager personality to work in fast passed environment.
• Strong organizations and time management skills with the ability to manage details of multiple projects.

• Pursuing or completed 4 year degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource and Environmental, Biology Studies, Chemistry, or related field.

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to read and write the English language.

Qualifications

• Ability to work business hours
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Willingness to travel between ranches, headquarters, production facility as necessary within a 100mile radius
