What does an Learning & Development Manager do at companies like CAPIO?

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will provide on the job education to newly hired employees as well as assist with continuing education programs for current employees. You will be responsible for evaluating our needs and current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan. The training department is the first face of the company, you will need to have excellent public speaking skills and stay up to date on the latest resources needed to enhance training and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize training materials.
  • Create training strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain and grow continuing education systems.
  • Manage and further develop the current training staff.
  • Support and mentor new employees.
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to role out Company Policies to employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, education, business, or related field preferred; or equivalent professional work experience required
  • 2+ years previous experience as a trainer or corporate training specialist
  • Certification from talent and training associations a plus (CPLP).
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, with interested in obtaining experience with other consumer statutes and regulations.
