Who We Need:

The Accounts Payable Subject Matter Expert’s responsibilities include assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable function and management, researching and resolving transactions, and providing overall payment support for mortgage and loan operations. Position requires the ability to work independently, assist with managing a team, and provide a keen attention to detail.  Must have knowledge of how Accounts Payable functions effect GAAP Accounting and overall Company Operations. Must provide exceptional service internally and provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries from both Operations and Accounting staff.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with Accounts Payable functions: Customer Vendor relations, check/ACH/wire disbursements, expense reporting, 1099 and tax related matters and laws such as escheatment.
• Collaborate with the AP Manager regarding development, implementation, and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Research and resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to other internal departments and branches.
• Proficiently organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment and take constructive criticism, coaching, and feedback on a consistent basis.
• Perform ad hoc functions as needed.
• Train and mentor new hires and existing teammates

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
• Five or more years of Accounts Payable experience, including one or more years of leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and Accounts Payable procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large amounts of spreadsheet data and formulas.  Strong attention to detail.
• Experience using SAP Concur for Expense processing and reporting.
• Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work closely within a team structure.
