Acquired by Carpenter in 1997, Dynamet supplies titanium bar, wire, fine wire, strip, and precision shapes for the aerospace, medical, consumer, motorsports and recreation industries. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Responsible and accountable for accurately communicating (verbal and written) all customer requirements.
- Provide superior customer service to assigned customer base through quoting, order entry, and problem resolution (complaints, returns, delays, etc.). Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with all external and internal customers.
- Continually expanding knowledge of company products, processes, systems, and procedures. Under direct to moderate supervision, provide all aspects of customer service which includes quoting, order entry, problem resolution, and any requests for information regarding order or account status, quality, logistics and credit as well as any other request which may fall outside of these categories.
- Accountable for work quality and accuracy with ongoing effort for continued error reduction.
- Initiate proactive calls to new and existing accounts in support of selling and service strategies.
- Responsible and accountable for knowing and adhering to all corporate, department, quality, and regulatory policies.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Two or four year undergraduate degree in business preferred, High School diploma required.
- 1+ years of phone based customer service experience, preferable in a technical and/or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to understand technical/manufacturing products and services and apply knowledge to interface with customers, solve routine problems, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Ideal candidate needs to have excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, good interpersonal/customer relations skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and ever changing work environment and a quality orientation, attention to detail and able to "get it right the first time".
- Ability to achieve established goals, develop and refine telephone skills, maintain orderly work flow and build effective relationships within and across departments.
- Requires effective use of technologies and computer skills including MS Office Suite.
