PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the direction of the Manager of Production/Labeling, the Assistant Manager of Component Production assists the Manager in all aspects of the coordination, management and supervision of Component Production manufacturing functions and staff for Carter BloodCare. Under minimal supervision, the position will oversee daily operations, conduct interviews for staff vacancies and directly supervise the Production Coordinators, Component Production Technicians, and Blood Component Couriers. The individual will assist in overseeing strict fiscal adherence to the budget and other administrative activities for the department as assigned by the Manager, Technical Director, or Medical Director. The Assistant Manager is able and willing to perform any departmental task as needed to ensure efficient work flow in the department. Additionally, the position will assist in strategic planning and collaborating with other blood centers on projects and other corporate initiatives. Must exercise judgment and decisiveness in situations for which there is often minimal guidance. Regular full-time attendance, minimum of 40 hours per week excluding meal breaks, is required during production hours.
