Description
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the management of the Manager of Building Maintenance, this position will be under general supervision. Must be able to perform work of a fairly routine nature requiring a reasonable amount of judgment in carrying out the daily preventative maintenance, upkeep, and repair of Carter BloodCare’s properties and equipment. Must have the ability to handle minor documentation and paperwork regarding Building Maintenance records or work orders. This position is subject to “on-call” duties. A valid Texas driver’s license is required, as well as an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Vehicle Loss Control Guide). Regular full-time attendance is required during office hours.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of the use of industry-related tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge.
- Basic sheetrock repair and painting; minor carpentry a plus.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License. Defensive Driving Course must be completed within 90 days of employment.
