The Role

The Contact Center Communications Coordinator II provides project planning, support and coordination for launching and maintaining team employee communications. This position will have proven experience in technical writing, editing, proofing, and updating of various communication and information sources and tools using structured writing. The Communications Coordinator II is also responsible for managing the Knowledge Base Portal and coordinating events to support the overall communication processes within the Contact Center. This role authors, collects and disseminates information using various communications and knowledge management tools to ensure customer information is accurate and up-to-date and that Contact Center employees are able to articulate the correct information, processes and procedures to external customers.  

The Contact Center Communications Coordinator II will develop a strong working knowledge of the contact center business, programs, and operations.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for team and provides additional guidance for projects and related team deliverables
  • Develops, delivers, and maintains comprehensive communications for internal ministry partners and execute plans effectively through various communication means including emails, newsletters, brochures, and knowledge base articles
  • Develops, writes, and edits various communication materials including correspondences, newsletters, brochures, and articles
  • Creates and updates content for the Knowledge base to coincide with the communications plan, including document creation, defining meta-data for search, creating content inventories, and effectively managing informational content
  • Pro-actively solicits editorial content and recognizes opportunities to communicate to Contact Center representatives.
  • Uses sound judgment to determine content and ensure respective messaging aligns with ministry policies and resonates with Contact Center employees at all levels
  • Plans internal events including rewards and recognition programs and incentive contest
  • Partners with internal ministry groups to understand communication needs.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners to provide guidance on communication procedures as a subject matter expert
  • Identifies methods for reorganizing information with maximum impact and minimum disruption
  • Creates and updates supplemental education documents (i.e. job aids) to easily integrate core concepts
  • Works to ensure information loaded into the Knowledgebase is both comprehensive and concise
  • Liaison to the Knowledgebase Administrator to determine the best methods for cataloging and housing information as needed; resulting in a highly intuitive repository where information can be retrieved at the speed of speech
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing and Communication, Language Arts, Journalism, Library Science or other related field preferred

  • 2-4 years’ related experience required
