What does an PW Maintenance Worker - Storm do at companies like CITY OF BOTHELL?

The City is looking for two outgoing and customer-service minded persons with effective communication skills to be our next PW Maintenance Workers in the Storm Division.

What will you do in this position? 
  • Inspect, clean and repair catch basins and storm mainlines
  • Provide storm pond maintenance, including vegetation control
  • Operate the street sweeper
  • Provide emergent weather event response
What do you need to be successful in this position?
  • An interest and passion for serving the community
  • Understand that this position will be on-call several times a year, and will require work in the evenings, weekends, holidays and respond to emergency call outs
  • Basic computer skills 
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as a Public Works Maintenance Worker or relevant field 
  • A valid Washington State Driver’s license and good driving record
  • First Aid/CPR certified (not required to apply – we will certify you after hire)
  • Preferred Certifications and Licensures
    • Flagger Card
    • Commercial Driver’s License
    • Pipe Certification (PACP)
    • Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)
