The Coon Rapids Police Reserve Unit consists of well-trained and dedicated volunteers who are focused on serving the needs of the community. Coon Rapids Police Reserve officers assist the Coon Rapids Police Department throughout the city in staffing and performing many non-sworn, non-enforcement functions.

Become a Police Reserve Officer today! The Reserve Unit consists of well-trained and dedicated volunteers who are focused on serving the needs of the community. Coon Rapids Police Reserve officers assist the Coon Rapids Police Department throughout the city in staffing and performing many non-sworn, non-enforcement, non-armed functions. Following the Reserve Officer training you will have an opportunity to participate in park patrol, security at Anoka Ramsey Community College as well as security for high school hockey games! These positions get paid $19.73 per hour!
A great way to gain experience and learn about exciting employment opportunities with the Coon Rapids Police Department. Law Enforcement students have an opportunity to ear tuition reimbursement after being employed for 6 months in good standing and who provide paid or unpaid service for a minimum of 250 hours per year. Reserve Officers qualify for internal hiring opportunities!
