Job Summary:
To maintain and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Skating Center skating surfaces, buildings, and grounds.
Scope of Responsibility:
Decisions can be highly classified or sensitive in nature due to the sophistication of the operation. If one unit or operating mechanism were to have major mechanical difficulties it could have a crippling effect on skating center, park department city budget. This position works under the supervision of the Skating Center Superintendent, provides limited direction to seasonal workers and has no budgetary responsibility. The maintenance worker has continuous public contact requiring tact, courtesy and good judgment.

Minimum job requirements are two years of formal training beyond high school and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent. Knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in building and grounds maintenance. Requires an EPA refrigeration certification.
