Overview

As a bilingual member of our contact center team, you will provide information, communication, and service to Compassion's sponsors and donors in both English and Spanish.  You will have the opportunity to educate sponsors about the goals and environment of Christian child development in Compassion's programs across the globe, ensuring sponsor satisfaction and loyalty. This position will include three weeks of in-depth training to ensure that you are equipped to handle the wide variety of calls that come into our contact center.

 

The start date for this position is currently set for January 27, 2019.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate for children. Understands and advances Christ's mandate to protect children. Raises awareness of the needs of children and takes active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children. Promotes the dignity, respect, positive treatment, potential of children in all circumstances. Encourages the involvement of others in helping children in need. Reports and appropriately supports responses to incidents of harm of children if they occur.
  • Specializes and is certified in one or more of the Level I contact center tasks. Provides support for Level I functions and may be training on some Level II tasks.
  • Receives and/or responds to contacts, verbally and/or in written form-as applicable, from constituents fielding questions regarding numerous areas related to Compassion, constituent accounts, country/child information, general information, and/or other ministry related information.
  • Provides constituents with excellent service that builds loyalty to Compassion and the overall mission of the ministry. Reinforces sponsors commitment to the ministry.
  • Resolves constituent problems, answers questions accurately while adhering to published guidelines. Follows protocol to offer options for an on-going relationship with Compassion.
  • Communicates in a way that reflects and supports Compassion’s mission, values, vision and strategy. Responsible for achieving individual performance and attendance metrics and contributes to overall service targets.
  • As directed, participates in available training and coaching opportunities to expand knowledge and abilities related to this role.
  • Often provides some general administrative support.

Education

  • High school diploma

Work Experience

  • No experience is required beyond the minimum education requirement
  • Contact center experience preferred
