OBJECTIVE: The primary goal of this position is to accurately receive ingredients while ensuring
those ingredients meet Cooper Farms requirements. Assist in maximizing production while maintaining
the highest quality feed we are capable of producing.

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma is required. An associate degree and/or 2 years related
experience is preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED: This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills,
organizational skills, the ability to work well with others and attention to detail. Knowledge of
Microsoft Office is strongly preferred. Must pass the certified agriculture commodity tester course
with the assistance of Cooper Farms.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive all grain and ingredients by weighing, obtaining samples, testing and directing drivers
to the proper dump station.

2. Perform all assigned duties associated with the collection of feed ingredient quality sampling.

3. Verify and organize scale tickets, batching records, truck logs and other items related to the
receiving of ingredients and grain storage records.

4. Answer the phone and greet all customers in a welcoming manner.

5. Responsible for the traffic flow related to the scale as well as keeping the scale and
receiving area clean and orderly.

6. Responsible for the data entry of daily, weekly and monthly inventories. Report inventory
levels to Purchasing Manager and Accounting Manager.

7. Place and/or assist in the purchasing of bagged ingredient orders.

8. Maintain feed tags by updating with new feed tags and replacing outdate tags. Create mixing
directions for new rations.
9. Accountable for maintaining and updating the Animal Feed Safety book.

10. Responsible for the housekeeping and daily maintenance activities of the interior and exterior
of the office. Including but not limited to office cleaning, walkway snow removal, etc.

11. Pick up mail, prepare outgoing and distribute incoming inter company mail.

12. Maximize the mill’s feed production through cooperation with fellow team members.
13. Follow established feed mixing procedures.

14. Follow all safe food/safe feed guidelines.

15. Assist in keeping the feed mill clean and organized.

16. Support and promote the Cooper Recycling Program.
17. Maintain a driving record in accordance with the Cooper Farms Fleet Safety Manual.
18. Promote the Cooper Culture through training and personal demonstration.

19. Maintain an active interest in performance level, attendance, and attitude.
20. Follow all safety practices and protocols.

21. Perform all duties as apparent or assigned.

These are the current essential functions of the job and are subject to change.

This is a 1st shift, Monday – Friday position. This position will be responsible for office administrative duties as
well as assisting in daily feed mill production.
