Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Follow the safety guidelines and safety programs established by CPI and complete safety reports and required records.
  • Responsible for grain and agronomy operations.
  • Responsible for exceptional grain condition, and monthly facility inspections, as by OSHA Inspection standard.
  • Responsible for all dry or liquid fertilizer and chemical preparation.
  • Responsible for overseeing loading applicators and tender trucks.
  • Ability to document, complete, and maintain records not limited to fertilizer and chemical inventory, production maintenance, daily operations, and inventory.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance of equipment, plant, or rolling stock and submit all reports on time.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and loaders.
  • Ability to read blend and field tickets, county road maps, and plat maps.
  • Dump and receive producers' grain.
  • Maintain grain inventory moistures and temperatures of silos and tanks.
  • Responsible for loading and delivering customer products and services that are sold by the location.

Required Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet business demands.
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions, adverse weather conditions, and temperatures. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, and usually loud noise levels.
  • Works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to pass required physical, background, and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agricultural background.
  • Grain, fertilizer, or chemical handling experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License or CDL with endorsements preferred.
