Corra is seeking a highly-motivated Financial Analyst with superior technical skills in Microsoft Excel to join our team in the Montclair NJ office. We are looking for someone who is thorough, thoughtful and detail oriented. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing executive and other teams with company, client, and project financial health status by creating, analyzing, and summarizing reports and dashboards based on compiling company and client financial data
  • Reporting and analysis of key metrics or KPIs such as margin, utilization, revenue per day/week, revenue by type, revenue by client, revenue by team, revenue per head, effective bill rates, etc.
  • Ensure integrity of financial assumptions with the system/software utilized for resource planning & management, project management, time entry, and various reporting
  • Partner with Finance, Resource Management (RM), Project Management (PM), and Client Services (CS) to ensure teams have information needed to achieve financial targets
  • Meet with PM and CS teams on a weekly basis to discuss project and revenue pipeline and confirm these details are accurately reflected in Salesforce and Mavenlink
  • Striving to improve margins by creating client/job profitability reports, following up with CS team on margin and staffing issues, and helping to implement mitigation plans as needed
  • Improve accuracy of revenue forecast by assisting, training, guiding, and following up with PM/CS on forecasting revenue for existing clients
  • Maintain tracking and publish existing reporting relating to bonus calculation, utilization reporting, staffing reports, etc
  • Create ad hoc analysis/reporting based on the needs of Finance, RM, PM, CS, and leadership
  • Become the SME on internal systems/software, create custom reporting within such systems/software, and be able to train or answer questions based on knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Quantitative degree (i.e. Statistics, Engineering, Comp Science, etc.)
  • 2-4 years of work experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or business operations for an agency or professional services company;
  • Proven experience creating reporting templates, crafting narratives from data analysis, and creating presentation materials to support such analysis
  • Experience extracting data, compiling data into presentable reports or dashboards, providing digestible insights, and clearly communicating those insights to non-financial audiences
  • Superior technical skills in Microsoft Excel i.e. Pivot Tables, SUMIFs, lookups, VBA, etc
  • Rare attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently to meet deadlines while prioritizing workload of regular deliverables versus ad-hoc requests
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to “know your audience” and support multiple internal stakeholders at varying levels of experience and financial knowledge
  • Solid understanding of professional services; understanding of e-commerce & marketing a plus
