What does an Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper do at companies like COUNTRY MANOR CAMPUS?

Country Manor is seeking an Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper to join our team in Sartell, MN!

The Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper will make certain monthly billing to all payors is completed in an accurate and timely manner. She/he will update and maintain resident accounts receivable records. She/he will work with other staff as directed or necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly billing for Care Center & Senior Housing residents.
  • Update and maintain resident accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Investigate resident accounts, as needed, and remittance advices to track if there is any discrepancy.
  • Reconcile monthly census to revenue reports.
  • Prepare fiscal and calendar year-end reports and statements as required.
  • Prepare and deliver daily deposits.
  • Keep current on Medicare, Medicaid and other rules and regulations pertaining to long-term care billing. Attend A/R seminars as available.
  • Pursue collection of accounts receivable through timely phone calls, written correspondence, filing of small claims where necessary.
  • Serve as a contact person for residents and families with billing questions.
  • Develop and maintain contacts within county agencies, insurance companies, and other financial for assistance in working with clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Accounting education or experience helpful.
  • Must have experience in third-party billing.
  • Experience in long-term care billing helpful.
  • Must have demonstrated computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work well with people.
  • Ability to explain long-term care billing to residents and families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident and company records.
  • Must possess excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Must be in good mental and physical health.
