In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable and unique guest experience through exceptional customer service and personalizing the experience. This includes maintaining a solid knowledge and understanding of menu items, alcoholic beverages, mixology, and pairings while tailoring the food and beverage experience to their tastes, executing service from greeting the table to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be approachable and outgoing with a great attitude and passion for delivering exceptional experiences. Prior bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or bar, and solid knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine is required. Prior high-end club or resort experience is a plus.

JOB DETAILS

Essential Duties:

  • Welcome and greet members and guests. Learn and remember regulars by name, preference and needs.
  • Present menus, suggest dishes utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and assist in beverage selection and service.
  • Communicate specific customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and modifications to the culinary team.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items to include cocktails, beer, and wine.
  • Clean and stock bar areas with product. Polish glassware.
  • Accurately date products and ensure expired items are disposed.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to management.
  • Maintain a high-level dining experience with the mindset that we’re a family serving family.
  • Utilize name recognition and personalized service in order to maintain raving fans.
  • Practice three steps of service – warm welcome, friendly service, and fond farewell.
  • Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurant and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
  • Perform and prioritize opening and closing side work continually throughout the shift.
  • Prepare final bill and present to member, ensuring signature.
  • Maintain clean service areas, professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
  • Proactively assist other team members and fellow bartenders, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and club personnel in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all employees and members.
  • Follow all alcoholic beverage laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Use L.A.S.T when solving challenges – Listen, Apologize, Solve, and Thank.
  • Adhere to professional grooming and appearance standards.
  • Constantly train and develop beverage knowledge. Participate in educational opportunities to continue expanding knowledge and stay abreast of food and beverage trends.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
