Job Description The Science Alive Office Coordinator will oversee the coordination of moving parts of the k-12 STEM education program POSITION DUTIES (Include but are not limited to) Coordinate building of K-12 curriculum for use in formal and informal environments Contribute to designing visual components for Green Boxes Coordinate hourly support staff duties working on Green Boxes Maintain database system and the online checkout system functionality Address shipping functionality tracking and issues with FedEx Integrate Art into STEM content, including updating content with art standards Research material prices, vendors, and update list of inventory needs Maintain regular communications with teachers, schools, administrators, and informal educational entities regarding curriculum Maintain Science Alive office scheduling calendar, compile project metrics, surveys, and evaluations for reporting Maintain the Science Alive website, designing, adding, updating and revising content Assist with onboarding and paperwork of new hourly employees Provide direct assistance to STEM Education Program Manager Direct community and partner inquiries to appropriate STEM/Science Alive faculty Organize Science Alice event logistics, assist with Collaborative Partner event logistics as needed; registration, coordinate room arrangement, food and presenter needs REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent with 2 year of relevant experience; Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills; Ability to work independently and maintain responsibility for individual work; Strong analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills; Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (optional) Greater consideration will be given to those who possess one or more of the following skills: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Experience with Joomla! and WordPress PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position may need to occasionally perform physical tasks, such as lifting objects of 20-60 lbs., stooping, bending, and kneeling. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check; May need to attend occasional offsite events; Technologist positions have a 6-month probationary period where your job performance will be reviewed at 3 months and then 6 months, at which time you may be taken off probation with satisfactory reviews. Unsatisfactory reviews during the first 6 months may result in termination. COMPENSATION GRADE This is a DRI Technologist Grade 31, position with a minimum starting base salary of $43,292; candidates will be hired at the level that is comparable to their experience, skills, and abilities.
