We currently have 5 physical locations throughout the North-West Region however our business is now rapidly expanding across America and the Caribbean with our proprietary state of the art software solution.

Job Summary

This is a trainee position. You will begin by answering phones. However we will train you to become a product specialist in this exciting industry. You will begin by performing clerical, secretarial and administrative work including answering telephones, welcoming showroom clients, providing customer and sales assistance, data processing and record-keeping, however you will end up being a highly trained product specialist in one or many of the Product divisions we serve.

Essential Job Functions

  • Welcoming customers and clients by greeting them, giving a brief tour of the showroom, offering refreshments and following-up throughout the visit
  • Answering telephone inquiries, internal messaging (i.e. general voicemail & email) and direct to the appropriate individuals or departments
  • Ensure company-wide communication by maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee email groups
  • Maintain, organize and inventory office supplies and reorder when necessary, ordering cleaning supplies for showroom support when needed
  • Prepare outgoing material, packaging and mailing, collect and distribute incoming mail
  • Provide meeting support, to include scheduling, coordination and set up
  • Assist Showroom Associates when needed with customers and tasks
  • Label samples throughout the showroom, maintain sample checkout list, and collect customer information when samples are checked out
  • Complete logistical arrangements for staff and guests, to include booking hotel stays
  • Support showroom, marketing and employee events by sending invites, tracking responses and managing guest lists
  • Assist in Marketing with assorted tasks to include prepping blog posts, maintaining press clipping file and ordering marketing materials
  • Ensure that showroom and staff kitchens are stocked with refreshments and various snacks (i.e. coffee, tea, water, etc.); conduct market runs to stock the showroom and gather other supplies
  • Completing opening and closing procedures, daily

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Primarily inside in well-lighted, well-ventilated areas.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a sedentary role; however, lifting of approximately 25 pounds with occasional lifting of small objects and samples. While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 40 hours per week.

Travel

Travel is primarily local, up to 1 hour driving distance during the business day may be expected. Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, per insurance eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

Design or Architectural Degree, preferred

Must be proficient in English

Clean driving record, able to meet insurability qualifications
