What does a Associate Manager, Supply Chain do at companies like ELEMENT SCIENCE?
Summary:
This position will assist leading and directing all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and control , material planni ng, sourcing and master scheduling. This position will provide leadership and direction to materials employees.
Responsibilities:
• Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure minimized supply chain risk
• Develop strategies, policies, procedures to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class material s management group
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to materials management and supply chain• Develop and continuously improve sourcing processes and supplier programs• Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely ac quisition of materia ls to support product launches• Participate in the design and implementation of a new ERP system and optimize its use.• Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts• Establish annual goals and objectives in coordination with corporate objectives, and manage employee performance to ensure attainment• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• BS Degree or combination of equivalent work experience and related certifications (APICS)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in purchasing and materials.
• Experience in a medical d evice or regulated environment utilizing ERP systems
• Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are required
• Knowledge of NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus
