Job Description:
Under general supervision, applies moderate to high level understanding of purchasing techniques and principles to purchase a variety of materials, equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the Company. Provides analytical and planning support that drive improvements to reduce costs throughout the supply chain. Reviews requisitions, quotes and interviews vendors to obtain best quality, price and delivery. Reviews proposals from one or more vendors. Observes and follows budgetary limitations. Ensures adherence to contractual agreements, purchase orders, regulations and company polices. Responsible for executing, independently, development tasks of medium to large scope and complexity.
Minimum Qualifications:
•5+Yrs
•BS/BA or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct Buying of Medical Device/Surgical products
Strong analytical and communication skills
Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
Professional and positive attitude
Buying experience in a low volume high mix manufacturing environment preferred
Working knowledge of Oracle and or equivalent ERP system
Experience with Microsoft office software with proficiency in Excel
