Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting EnviroLogix in the areas of compensation, benefits administration, performance management, talent, HRIS, employee relations, and general human resource administration. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Human Resources. Responsibilities Include:

Talent

  • Manages the recruitment process for all functional areas to fill entry-level, professional, and technical job openings
  • Manages the summer internship program and serves as a business partner to the corporate University Recruiting team
  • Facilitates and assists in providing training to the workforce, including new hire orientation and onboarding and ongoing leadership development
  • Supports Senior Leadership in the bi-annual OSR process, succession planning, top talent identification and development

Compensation

  • Conducts market analysis to price jobs and understand relationships between base and variable compensation as it relates to job scope and responsibilities
  • Works closely with leadership to analyze compensation data and implement compensation processes
  • Supports & develops training related to the annual compensation process for managers and leaders at all levels of the organization

Benefits Administration

  • In conjunction with EBI Corporate Benefits facilitates EnviroLogix benefit administration
  • Organizes and manages business unit open enrollment communications, elections process and support and serves as point of contact for employees on various benefit programs

Performance Management

  • Facilitates and supports the completion of annual and mid-year performance reviews including managerial and employee level training on processes
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to employees and managers including coaching, career development, PIP development and process management, and disciplinary actions

General

  • Manages the HRIS system (Workday) including all employee hires, changes and terminations, data analysis, and reporting
  • Serves as employee point of contact for Workday system questions and issues; provides system training for all new employees and leadership
  • Provides policy guidance and interpretation; maintains the company policies and procedures manual
  • Supports HR compliance of the Quality Management System through document registration and editing including job descriptions, organizational charts, and other HR related documents as required
  • Supports department initiatives, employee needs, communication of policies, and other special projects as required
  • In coordination with the VP, HR ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and maintains all employee and Human Resources files

  • Demonstrated ability to source and recruit talent across a variety of functions
  • Proven ability to take initiative, exercise discretion and sound judgment, and ensure a high level of confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated, execution oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well in team environment and interact with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Human Resources practices, including analysis and administration of talent and compensation programs
  • Strong computer proficiency required including advanced spreadsheet applications and HRIS applications
  • Strong attention to detail; sound analytical, problem-solving, project management and process improvement skills to coordinate multiple competing priorities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and 2-3 years of related experience
  • SHRM (CP or SCP) or HR Institute (PHR or SPHR) certification is a plus
