ESPIRE DENTAL Finance Controller Salary in the United States

Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of the financial position of the company.  Overseeing the revenue journal, payroll and accounts payable processes.  Ensuring proper internal controls are in place, accounts are reconciled, billing is performed and collected on a timely basis, etc.  Other responsibilities include analysis, tax and audit support and other projects as they arise. 

Reports To:

• Chief Financial Officer

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting. 
• 3 years finance management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of General Accounting principles, GAAP, Accrual Accounting

• Self-starter, entrepreneurial with hands on approach towards business.

• Understands the hotels'  business plans as well as hotel budget.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office  programs and hotel financial systems (e.g. Sun).

Job Functions:

• Central Accounting
  • Creation of monthly financial package including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash flow forecast, Critique
  • Distribution for review to CFO by no later than 10th of each month
  • Support annual budget and monthly re-forecast process
  • Monthly Bank reconciliations by 5th of the subsequent month
  • Accounts Receivable review and management
  • Accounts Payable review and regular check runs
  • Sales and use tax expert and monthly filing
  • Other Balance sheet accounts – monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations as deemed appropriate by CFO
  • Bank account review and cash balancing
  • Merchant account creation & administration
  • Payroll oversight and review
  • Write and train on Finance SOPs
  • Manage transition expenses and budgets for practices being acquired or merged
  • Corporate Credit Card Oversight     
  • Expense Report Review and approval
