What does a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist do at companies like EVERYMUNDO?

EveryMundo (www.everymundo.com) is a fast-growing international Performance Marketing Technology company seeking to add to our Performance Marketing Team!

We are seeking an expert (or aspiring expert) in Google Ads Search Engine Marketing, capable of managing campaign according to international enterprise best practices. You will have the opportunity to contribute to new technology product development and process automation, work with Google Ads betas and new feature releases, and lead account for leading international airlines across the globe.. 

What You Will Do:

  • Constantly analyze data and plan and execute paid search strategies including Display and re-marketing.
  • Build out multilingual SEM campaigns: keywords, ad copy, ad extensions, etc.
  • Execute build-out and implementation of promotions for paid search campaigns.
  • Ensure all initiatives including new Google features are implemented across SEM campaigns.
  • Execute and evaluate experiments (ad copy, landing pages, etc.) to improve performance
  • Support infrastructure in other search engines (e.g. Yandex, Bing)
  • Perform research and analysis on digital marketing topics and challenges and develop documented solutions.
  • Support development of tools and products to automate, enhance and scale paid search activities.
  • Serve as digital marketing consultant and product expert internally and in on-site customer training.
  • Manage client relationships and ongoing communications
  • Translate campaign/client goals into actionable SEM strategic tactics
  • Possess knowledge or be willing to learn about search algorithms, indexing and data modeling 
  • Create in-depth campaign reporting and analysis
  • Provide campaign refinement and optimization recommendations
  • Leverage and develop proficiencies with SEM tools and resources
  • Monitor emerging industry trends and best practices 
  • Improve and update internal processes  

Requirements: 

  • BA or BS from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with industry standard SEM optimization and management tools like Google Ads: Google certification a big plus.
  • Understanding of and interest in the digital/online market.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and presentation.
  • Comfortable working with new software tools – not afraid of new technology.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (Functions, Pivot Tables, V Look Ups, etc.)
  • Quantitative and/or Marketing background (finance, accounting, math, physics, engineering, computer science, etc.)
  • Experience in Google Ads and Google Analytics
  • Computer proficiency in Google Analytics, Outlook, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, et
  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing

Experience that is a PLUS but not required: 

  • Bilingual (Chinese especially)
  • Experience in Google Tag Manager
  • Experience using the AdWords API
  • Experience in other digital advertising channels
  • Experience in Secondary Search Engines (Bing, Yandex, Baidu, etc)
  • Knowledge in SQL
