Business Analyst is Accountable for:
- Serving as Subject Matter Expert on core product and interdependencies between other products
- Developing technical design plans (gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions) by interfacing with Product Managers, Technical Architects and Developers, as needed
- Documenting and processing user stories and related technical requirements for new features or changes to existing features
- Preliminary troubleshooting and identification of root cause of all product-related issues
- Publishing incident reports for all Severity 1 & 2 issues with comprehensive explanation of the issue, impacts, and future prevention strategies
- Defining and documenting implementation approach and support workflows for all new products and features
Business Analyst is Responsible for:
- Ensuring test plans incorporate all core and fringe use cases (in collaboration with QA Team)
- Assisting Product Manager with performing or coordinating User Acceptance Testing
- Conducting product training and creating supplementary materials
- Adhering to and developing best practices to support the EM Product Lifecycle (PLC) process
- Reporting/Analyzing Product Success KPIs
Business Analyst is Consulted for:
- Coordinating with Product Managers to complete Feature Definition documentation (document user stories / use cases, define product success KPIs, defining mockups)
- Collaborating with Product Management, UX/UI, Architects and Developers to perform feature ideation and prototyping
- Collaborating with Project Management for migration planning and overseeing development
- Reviewing and contributing to Product Release Notes (monthly/quarterly)
- Communicating product changes to consumers of services
- Contributing to product improvement suggestions
- Assisting in development of Marketing/Sales Plan for new products and features
Expectations:
3 Months:
- Support Product Manager in facilitating the EM Product Lifecycle supporting technical documentation, ticket creation, and user acceptance testing
- Create feature documentation, training plans, and feature support workflows
- Understand all core processes such as Product Lifecycle, Product Roadmap, Product Implementation, and Sprint Planning
- Establish familiarity with product instances and customer implementation methods, use cases, and customizations
- Begin reviewing and troubleshooting reported bugs to gain deeper understanding of inter-dependencies and responsible teams
6 Months:
- Advanced ownership in all development lifecycle activities, including: developing technical design plans, documenting use cases, and defining requirements
- Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting techniques; quickly and accurately establish root cause on reported bugs
- Contribute to the development of QA test plans to ensure comprehensive testing of all use cases
12 Months:
- Complete ownership in all development lifecycle activities. Provide overall guidance and support to ensure project meets business objectives.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on core product; troubleshooting advanced issues and assisting others when technical questions arise
Requirements
- Language skills: English, bilingual a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Computer Science or Engineering degree is preferred)
- 3+ years of professional experience with a minimum of two years as a Technical Product Analyst or within the field of Product Management
- Significant Business Analyst experience across the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment) with specific attention to requirements and design
- Familiarity with PHP, Symphony, React.JS, Angular.JS, and AWS/Lambda

- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
- Solid background in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements and business details to apply to solutions across the company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive action
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable in presenting suggestions for change and or improving workflow
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach with willingness to learn
- Strong process-based skills, i.e. process flow diagrams, business modeling, and functional design
