FAMILY CARE PARTNERS Medical Assistant - Float to all 4 locations Salary in the United States

The Medical Assistant Float position will be required to travel to all four (4) clinics: Arlington, Northside, Fleming Island and Intracostal.

General Summary of Duties: Establish effective patient flow. Complete all tasks regarding patient care on a daily basis and other duties as assigned.

Duties include:
1. Patient triage/vital signs
2. Administer injections/immunizations
3. Performs diagnostics
a. EKG
b. Holter Monitor hook-up/disconnect
c. PFT/Spirometry
d. Pulse Ox
e. Tympanometry
f. Vision Screening
g. Color Vision
4. Administer Treatments
a. Nebulizer Treatment
b. Oxygen
c. Ear Irrigation
5. Patient Teaching
a. Diabetic monitors
b. Administration of insulin
c. Respiratory devices
6. Assist with surgical procedures and set-up
7. Assist with Gyn exams
8. Prescription refills
9. Dispense medications
10. Create referrals, lab orders, and diagnostic tests for patients
11. Discuss lab and diagnostic results with patient
12. Schedule office appointments
13. Assist patient with scheduling appointments with Specialists and Diagnostics
14. Answer patient phone calls
15. Fax correspondence
16. Stock and disinfect exam rooms
17. Autoclave
18. Comply with HIPPA, OSHA, and State of Florida Bio-hazard regulations
19. Properly document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
