SUMMARY

Serve as a liaison with the business owners to facilitate the elicitation and prioritization of business requirements including but not limited to interface design, user interface specifications and computer systems report design. Act as a consultant to the business, striving to meet their business and compliance objectives with innovative, cost effective and efficient solutions, leveraging existing infrastructure and capabilities whenever possible. Serve as the liaison between technology and business end users. Responsible for working with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and produce specifications for any changes to technology applications.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for promotion and delivery of quality internal and external customer service.
  • Collaborates and coordinates problem-solving efforts between internal business partners and IT or third-party vendors, software support, investigation and analysis of problems related to the analyst area of responsibility.
  • Leverage partnership with current and new partners to maximize efficiencies and Return on Investment.
  • Manage process optimization initiatives across the core platform and other systems.
  • Prepare and present subject matter knowledge, analysis, options, solutions in both written and presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Serve as a thought-leader and consultant for internal business partners
  • Regularly apply knowledge of future technology and system trends for your domain to solve for current and future business needs.
  • Support maintenance of business systems and interface applications.
  • Able to mine and analyze data to develop hypotheses, make inferences and hone in on customer and business objectives
  • Assist with new systems research and evaluations, including writing RFPs and coordinate the RFP process.
  • Manage end-to-end from idea to delivery of enhancements and changes to systems.
  • Assist with workflow redesign and process improvement
  • Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes; and, federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of banking/financial business operations attained through 1 to 3 years of progressive work experience with a focus on operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
  • Excellent research skills and understanding of banking regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Able to ask smart, straightforward, intelligent, and efficient questions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Be adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments, juggle multiple demands, and work with all types of individuals up to and including the CEO.
  • Strong skills in negotiating, relationship building, problem solving, and timely problem escalation.
  • Detail oriented but able to quickly grasp the big picture.
  • Keep confidential information confidential.
  • Maintain compliance certification and other related compliance training.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 6 months of experience working with systems / applications as a system administrator, database administrator, data warehousing, or data analyst.
  • Or - Associate's degree with minimum of 1-3 years IT experience related to maintenance of systems / applications or data analysis.
  • Prefer 1-3 years banking related experience in IT, lending, and retail operations; and knowledge of loan and retail banking products.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and contracts.  Listen and ask others for their opinions and feedback, and ask questions to ensure understanding.  Possess effective written or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to peers, business clients, and management.

Time will be spent in a bank office environment reviewing systems / applications, and communicating with peers and other bank employees about processes.  Must expect time for training employees on changes in systems / application pertinent to their jobs.  Expect interruptions with inquiries from bank employees or external parties.  Expect to sit in meetings with other bank personnel reviewing business objectives, processes, and strategizing on the most effective ways to leverage technology.   Some travel will be expected to other bank locations, training, and partners.
