POSITION SCOPE

Fisher Sand & Gravel is seeking a Gravel Dispatcher Assistant for our Billings, MT operations. The individual must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining efficiency. The position is full time and seasonal working 40 hours during busy season with shorter winter hours typically from November to February (depending on weather).

PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Schedule and dispatch gravel truck drivers.
2. Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
3. Answer phones to take orders and provide customer service.
4. Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals.
5. Assist with setup and tear down of plants.
6. Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor.
7. General housekeeping of equipment and plant on a daily basis or as directed by supervisor.
8. Individual must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis.
9. The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary.
10. Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy.
11. Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
12. Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND

1. Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
2. Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications.
3. Willing to work in a team environment.
4. Mechanical knowledge of equipment and able to perform routine maintenance.
