About the Inspections Associate Position

We are looking for a dependable and amiable Inspections Associate to coordinate onsite customer inspections and run permits for our Doral-based operations. The ideal candidate must have field and trade experience in generator, electrical, plumbing, and/or general construction. In addition, the role requires processing and running permits and working with local government authorities. Ideal candidates are determined to improve processes every day, thrives on maximizing efficiency, and prides themselves in impeccable attention to detail and customer service.

This is a full-time, employee position, and you will be evaluated based on your ability to facilitate thorough work inspections (primarily residential) and complete permitting tasks in a timely manner, working closely with the Managers of Installs and Engineering. The Inspections and Permitting Assistant will report directly to the Manager of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work with city inspectors that arrive on the job sites, walking them through generator installations
• Coordinate, process, and drop off pre-built building permits to municipalities
• Enter all permit and inspection related data into the BuilderTrend system
• Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, land surveys, and specifications
• Execute permit-related administrative tasks as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, minimum Class E required, with reliable transportation
• 1+ years of experience working on building permits
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing construction
• Good written and verbal communication (English; bilingual in Spanish preferred)

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., safely and unassisted, occasionally
• Ability to crawl, walk, and climb is required for inspections, frequently
• Finger, arm, and wrist dexterity is required due to frequent use of mechanical tools
• Working in or nearby potentially dangerous structures, extreme weather, and low-light conditions
