Position: Collections Specialist

Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm OR 11am - 8pm Monday – Friday + 2 half Saturdays/month

Location: Dallas, TX 75251

Summary of Responsibilities of Collections Specialist:

• Ensure the organization’s customer service strategies are carried out in an effective manner that results in quality service, retention of dealers and the most profitable and efficient collection or validation of information, thus improving future performance of the FTF’s loan portfolio
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure customer service specialist operates in the most efficient and compliant manner possible in our fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
• Ensure all customer service strategies, efforts and results provide the proper balance between customer/account retention and problem resolution
• Meet targeted daily/monthly objectives and maintain assigned accounts
• Partner with management to develop customer service and professional skills
• Notify management of any recognized potential risks
• Actively participate in team or company meetings and events
• Communicate urgent or important information face to face or phone

Essential Functions of Collections Specialist:

• Provide excellent and considerate customer service to customers and dealers during Welcome Calls, Insurance verification, GPS tracking and Warranty contract verification
• Participate in performance management as accountability is achieved through regular one-on-ones and objective goal setting that measures quantity and quality with set time-lines for completion.
• Follow policies and procedures and ask when questions arise
• Work to ensure performance is consistently above or at the level expected
• Resolve customer account problems and disputes such as disputes concerning loan balances, misapplied payments, return checks, credit history and fraud.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
