Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Show Control Operator position will control audio & video playback for the largest LED screen in the world, 3 stages with nightly live concerts, 30 other LED displays dotting the Fremont Street mall, and 52 surround sound speaker clusters. Must be able to work various shifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties performed include but not limited to:
• Work closely with the show control manager, show control techs, and graphics team to execute complex show sequences smoothly for audiences and pedestrians on the street.
• Associated duties required to complete the task as assigned by manager and on-shift show control tech including but not limited to: periodically walking the mall to reporting any issues found on LED screens or speaker clusters.
• Report show control system functioning to show control tech.
• Run Viva-Vision light shows and visuals at scheduled times from the control room using widgets built by the show control techs.
• Run special event media once it has been set up by the show control techs.
• Run graphics and audio for nightly stage entertainment and other scheduled ads.
• Monitor a radio channel and respond to the requests of the LED maintenance crew and show control techs.
EXPERIENCE:
• Some experience in an entertainment business environment is preferred.
• Experience with show playback systems such as Christie Pandoras Box is a plus.
• Must be a quick learner and able to retain and apply knowledge gained through training.

• Accurately follow procedures in written or verbal form.
• Calm under pressure.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong communications skills, ability to communicate clearly over a 2-way radio.
• Must have flexible hours and be willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights, or early mornings. The party never stops at Fremont Street. We’re 24/7.
• Must stay alert and watch all shows and events closely to ensure proper execution and a quick fix if any unforeseen situations arise. Much of our entertainment is live, anything could happen.
• Basic knowledge of standard media formats (.png, .mp4, .wav, etc.)
• Knowledge of networking and media display systems is a plus
