Overview
Position available at our Bloomsburg Branch. Requires the ability to travel for training.
Promotes and coaches the sales and service culture, internally and externally, to branch personnel. Responsible for the administration and operational function of the branch, which includes operational and security policies and procedures. May operate in a decentralized decision making environment. Proficient in all Banking and Compliance Regulations and bank products. Supervises branch personnel and ensures that sales and service goals and objectives, and sales management of those goals and objectives, are being met at the various levels within the branch staff. Supports and contributes to the sales initiatives at the branch level.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties
- Responsible for human resources management at the branch in conjunction with the Branch Manager. Establishes and manages individual performance to standards and individual and branch goals through consistent monthly coaching. Develops, promotes, and manages a team environment within which employees perform individually and collectively to achieve branch goals. Demonstrates leadership, and sets example, in motivating staff, staff communications, and employee development. Coaches and trains staff on Bank products and services, Partner products and services, branch sales, and customer experience. Reviews and actively supports all training initiatives.
- Coordinates and oversees the daily activities of the branch to achieve production needs. Responsible for internal sales programs, assigning work, providing training and guiding branch personnel, as necessary. Ensures Branch’s compliance to operational and security policies and procedures and all risk management elements as defined by management.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining a retail sales and service culture in the Branch while demonstrating sales leadership and management in all sales and service activities in the Branch. Assists Branch Manager in managing the sales process for the Branch. Supports and monitors goals and sales plans. Provides coaching and feedback, encourages and reinforces all sales behaviors taught in sales training, monitors results, provides reward and recognition.
- Responsible for generation of consumer and small business loan applications and growth of loan portfolios. Actively coaches and develops direct reports on proper adherence and support of credit policies, overall credit culture and compliance with all lending regulations. Responsible for consumer loan and small business loan process from interview to close. May be responsible for approving small business loan applications up to individual lending authority. Counsels applicants on bank lending policies and repayment terms. Calculates and prepares loan applications by determining the loan amount, interest rate, collateral, and cross sell or upsell opportunities. Completes all related documents necessary to complete the loan application process.
- Supports the Branch Manager in the business development efforts of the branch by participating in prospect identification, call preparation, business calls, and follow through on sales opportunities. Participates in joint calls with Partners and the Branch Manager.
- Represents the Bank in civic and community activities.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor Degree or the Equivalent Experience. Specialty: Relevant degree pertaining to the essential duties of this role. (Required)
Experience
3 or more years Banking or related experience. (Required)
1 or more years Management experience. (Preferred)
