The Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Analyst

  • Work Hours:  8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday - flexible start time

Job Overview:

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst is responsible for assisting with the administration of all compensation and benefits programs, providing effective support in analyzing, planning, developing, benchmarking and executing the programs. This role will report to the Benefits Manager and will be an integral part of the Corporate Human Resources team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering associate benefit and retirement plans, as well as key elements of base pay and incentive compensation programs.
  • Administer compensation and benefit modules within Workday.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data that can support compensation decision making and benefits policy development.
  • Monitor reviews of compensation and benefits packages and research trends to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Assist in creating materials to effectively communicate compensation and benefit programs, policies and practices to associates and leaders using various tools and modes of communication. Additionally, develop and update compensation and benefits policies and procedures that support the local HR teams.
  • Play a key role in the annual renewal and open enrollment process, assisting with communication to local HR teams, system testing, and review of open enrollment communication materials.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Benefits Manager to perform accurate and timely compliance audits, reconciliation and submission of billing for benefits carriers.
  • Monitor benefit payroll deductions to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with leave of absence and disability claim administration in accordance with company policy, as well as state and federal law.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and FMLA.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers, associates and HR teams on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Assist in new hire orientation, communicating information about the company’s compensation and benefits packages and policies.
  • Assist with ensuring successful integration file feeds between Workday and third-party vendors.
  • Prepare benefit and compensation survey submissions and benchmark reports, evaluating market-competitive programs and perks that attract, retain and engage talent.
  • Assist with administering wellness programs.
  • Assist with compensation market studies, analyzing position matches, data and scope cuts.
  • Support compensation processes, including annual compensation reviews and increases, bonus payments, etc.
  • Assist with maintaining position pay ranges in Workday.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Exceptional analytical, mathematical and Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with systems and reporting. Workday experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, both local and federal.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing software such as Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and e-mail.
  • Ability to maintain and foster sensitivity and respect for a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities to establish and maintain effective working relationships. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • 2-3+ years of direct, relevant experience in compensation and/or benefits analysis, administration, design, and/or consulting.
  • Global compensation and/or benefits experience preferred.
