Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in nursing or a health related field and two years combined public/community health nursing and progressive management experience in public health nursing; or Registered nurse licensed in the state.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A bachelor of science degree in nursing or a health related field and three  years combined public/community health nursing and progressive management experience in public health nursing.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of quality, cost-effective hospice care.  Assist Administrator in managing and operating expenses as they relate to the clinical department.
• Evaluate patient services provided by the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain knowledge of hospice state licensure, federal and accreditation requirements.
• Monitor services and documentation to meet Hospice policies and procedures, state, federal and accreditation guidelines.
• Serve as liaison to Administrator regarding clinical challenges and progress in patient care.
• Supervise the quality of care provided.   Participate in orientation and  education of all staff.  Support all caregivers on the hospice interdisciplinary team including any contracted staff.
• Be available for on-call if needed.  Provide support to on-call staff.
