Description
Responsible for all aspects of daily inventory and supervising warehouse staff. Ensure inventory accuracy, track variances and implement controls to ensure continuous improvement of inventory metrics. Utilizing tools such as root cause analysis, play key role in Warehouse process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Validate daily production, confirm serial/lot numbers
• Plan and direct accurate and timely pack put-away during processing season
• Develop and implement cycle count inventory and coordinate bi-annual full inventories.
• Manage cycle count procedures and physical inventory process to comply with Ingomar requirements.
• Maintain reports on cycle counting variances and investigate reasons for variances. Use root cause analysis to develop and implement corrective measures to minimize inventory adjustments.
• Work with Production to have output errors corrected
• Maintain records of all variances and ensure accuracy of all product transfers and put-away.
• Administer all return shipments from customers, in case of damages.
• Supervise Warehouse and Inventory personnel in the pulling, preparing and staging of product for Shipment.
• Produce inventory reports and statistics regularly and maintain historical data for future use.
• Oversee the receiving, sorting and storage of return bin parts from customers.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks without losing focus.
• Must be able to meet required deadlines.
• Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring the warehouse is clean and orderly.
Competencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Excel and Access
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Demonstrated Leadership and/or Supervisory experience
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum 3-4 years Warehousing and/or Inventory Control experience in a Leadership capacity
• Some secondary education preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Seasonal food processing, particularly Tomato Processing a plus
Food Defense and Safety:
• Follow all GMP and PPE practices
Physical Demands:
• Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. On feet, in elements 50% of the day.
Work Environment
• Dynamic work environment: time will be spent both in an office setting as well as Warehouse and Production area. Must be able to adapt to both environments. Seasonal Tomato Processing facility, 24/7 for 13+/- weeks per year.
