Beautiful Interlachen Country Club located in Winter Park, FL has part-time opportunities available as Tennis Camp Counselors available. We are seeking energetic candidates with tennis experience and knowledge.

SUMMARY: Camp Counselors work with our Tennis Department to successfully create a memorable Junior Tennis Camp experience while assisting with tennis activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists Tennis Pros with the supervision of campers.
• Teaches basic tennis skills under the instruction of the Tennis Pros.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and tennis instruction to campers while modeling good behavior such as good sportsmanship and courtesy.
• Assists with the check-in and -out of campers each day
• Acts as a liaison between Tennis Pros and parents, if necessary.
• Adheres to emergency procedures by immediately reporting concerns to Tennis Pros and awaiting directives.
• Maintains the proper ratio of counselors to campers.
• Observes the behavior of the campers under their supervision to ensure adherence to health and safety protocol.

COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.

REPORTS TO: Director of Tennis

Requirements

AVAILABILITY: Must be able to work weekdays, Monday through Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the game of tennis.
• A background in college or high school tennis is preferred for this position.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to interact effectively with Staff, groups of Members and/or their children.
• May be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with assistance.
• May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.
• Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, crawling, kneeling.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of working under pressure.
