Kx Advisors provides strategic support to executives at leading Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Health IT companies. Consultants at Kx Advisors are a critical part of every project team, and support engagements by managing the research and fact-gathering process, analyzing and synthesizing findings, and developing deliverables for clients. Consultants serve as a coach and mentor to small teams of junior consultants on each project. Consultants can be staffed on projects that vary in scope, length, industry, and location.

A Consultant role at Kx offers the experience to lead complex work that covers a variety of business issues early in your tenure. You’ll be supported by an exceptional group of peers and leaders throughout each engagement as you take on significant challenges to deliver the highest quality actionable recommendations and solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client needs into a systematic, objective, and exhaustive research plan that utilizes appropriate sources, including primary, secondary, internal, and external sources; support Associate Consultants in research plan execution
  • Maintain accountability for data integrity, relevancy, and soundness throughout the research process and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques and robust problem-solving approaches to distill research into actionable and compelling conclusions
  • Effectively communicate conclusions to clients through the creation of creative and impactful presentations
  • Serve as a resource for clients throughout the engagement by answering inquiries and facilitating portions of client meetings, depending on project needs

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A degree from a top four-year college or university in Science, Health, or Business concentration
  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree preferred
  • 2 - 4 years of strategy consulting, market research, or other relevant project-based work experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred at either of the following:
    • A leading management consulting firm
    • Pharmaceutical, BioTech, or Medical Device company preferably in Strategy, Marketing, Operations, or Business Development function
  • Demonstrated success in gathering primary and secondary research with Healthcare Professionals
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing and synthesizing data, and communicating accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions in a consulting environment
  • Quantitative modeling and forecasting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong business writing competencies
  • Advanced MS Office computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

  • High level of self-motivation and energy, including the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Confidence, maturity, and poise, as well as positive, “can do” attitude
  • Comfort working with groups, as well as sensitivity to individual, group and organizational dynamics
  • Creative, “big picture” thinking while maintaining a keen attention to detail
