THE KANSAS CITY BARBEQUE SOCIETY (KCBS), a nonprofitorganization dedicated to promoting and enjoying barbeque, is the world'slargest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts with over 20,000members worldwide.  KCBS sanctions over 500 barbeque contests worldwide. Fromvolunteering to actual event production, our members also offer assistance tocivic and charitable organizations who organize events. 

The Program Coordinator will work with the CEO and staff members to support key programs and initiatives in support of the overall operations of the non-profit KCBS organization.

MEMBERSHIP AND JUDGING PROGRAM SUPPORT

• Support Membership Manager and CEO to execute Membership campaigns to drive New Memberships among various target audiences.
• Support Membership Manager execute programs and communication strategies to drive annual Membership Renewals.
• Support analytics and reporting initiatives on members, outreach, marketing, and budget.
• Drive member relations as first point of contact with KCBS members and customers; answering phones and emails with a positive presence to understand their needs, questions or concerns. Help with membership renewals and registrations as members contact KCBS via phone and email.
• Route other calls as necessary for Contest Needs, Marketing/Partnerships and Operations.
• Maintain member database with change of address requests and return to sender mail.
• Support Membership and Judging Program Manager with processing of Lifetime Memberships, ordering and shipping of badges, membership materials and invoices as needed.
• Help Members as needed to guide them with self-service functions within the website.
• Work with Membership and Judging Program Manager to order supplies as needed for Certified Barbeque Judge classes. Process any follow-ups needed after each class is complete; including updating members information from class into membership data base.
• Support Membership and Judging Program Manager on execution of Master Certified Barbeque Judge and100+ programs; creating and sending certificates and updating member records. 

PARTNERSHIP AND MARKETING PROGRAM SUPPORT

• Partner with CEO to support strategic partnerships with program execution and reporting to ensure program deliverables are met.
• Engage with Marketing partners and their agencies, as needed, to discuss communication objectives and needs based on agreed upon partnership deliverables with KCBS.
• Support CEO with follow-ups on partnership proposals with new and existing partners.
• Supports the CEO in the execution of marketing plans, advertising and promotions; executing integrated marketing campaign across a wide array of tactics. Supports and engages in internal and external relationships with partners; supports the preparation of internal and external brand presentations.
• Support the CEO and key committee members in execution of KCBS proprietary programs (i.e. KCBS World Invitational competition, KCBS Team of the Year finale and banquet, etc).
• Partner with CEO and Communications Manager to develop and execute monthly social media campaigns; including content creation, engaging with Members to encourage content sharing, programming into monthly tools/programs.
• Track key metrics of social media channels and websites to share key metrics with Staff and Board of Directors monthly. 

MISC.

• Support staff with updates of key initiatives to provide to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.
• Answer and direct phone calls to proper office staff.
• Support Board of Director committees as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 1-3 years professional experience preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and Marketing /Agency experience preferred.
• Program implementation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, flexible and collaborative with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take minimal direction and lead their programs and projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and positive, can-do attitude.
• Proficiency in Office; Excel, Word and Power Point. Proficiency in Google; Email, Docs, Drive.
