LOGIX FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Bankruptcy & Loan Services Representative Salary in the United States

The Bankruptcy & Loan Services Representative provides administrative support to the Bankruptcy and Loan Services and Loan Resolution teams by responding to members’ credit bureau disputes and meeting FCRA and Metro 2 compliance requirements.  Responds to validation of debt requests; processes approved consumer loan charge-offs; processes Repossession and Bankruptcy notices.  Provides the highest level of consistently excellent service to internal customers, co-workers, and members and consistently demonstrates tact and courtesy. 

• Responds to members’ credit bureau disputes by conducting thorough research to ensure responses and Logix credit reporting are FCRA and Metro 2 compliant.  Documents and provides member correspondence as applicable; retains records related to disputed information, research, and outcome.  
• Responds to validation of debt requests received from members and collections agencies acting on behalf of Logix.  
• Processes approved charge offs of Consumer Loans by preparing loans for charge off and completing relevant reports, including the Board Report; completes Board approved charge offs on a monthly basis.  
• Supports the Repossession process by preparing regulatory notices including Notices of Intent to sell property and Notices of Deficiency.  Prepares Certificate of Repossession DMV forms, files and provides supporting documentation for repossession insurance claims, pays invoices, performs file maintenance and documents status of repossession as applicable.  Assists with vendor management of Repossession Agencies by obtaining license, insurance, and bond information.  
• Ensures compliance with Bankruptcy law by performing system maintenance to update Consumer Loans protected by Bankruptcy automatic stay and discharge injunction when notices of Bankruptcy filing, Discharge, or Dismissal have been received.  
• Performs account maintenance and processing loan payments such as automatic transfer set up or removal, revoking/re-instating lines of credit, changing payment frequencies, Consumer Credit Counseling payments, Bankruptcy Trustee payments, Charged off Loan Payments, and Collection Agency Invoice payments.  
• Reports negative share charge offs to ChexSystems and updates the status as needed to ensure FCRA compliant and accurate reporting. 
• Prepares, processes, and documents approved hardship Extension Agreements for Consumer Loans.  Monitors payments against the Extension Agreement for compliance; revokes the Extension Agreement based on established guidelines.  
• Documents and monitors the status of Impound and Lien Sale notices to ensure Logix asset protection. 
• Processes incoming and outgoing USPS and Fedex mail on behalf of the Bankruptcy and Loan Services and Loan Resolution departments.  
• Completes accounting entries and balances checks received daily in accordance with LFCU and other regulatory policies and standards. 
• Processes Credit Life & Disability and Unemployment debt cancellation claims/payments; documents and tracks the progress of filed claims.  

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Ability): 

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), at least one year related financial institution experience, and working knowledge of credit union/financial institution compliance and regulation. 
• Must be accurate and reliable and have the ability to meet productions goals in a heavy production and teamwork environment.  
• Must have the ability to operate a PC in a windows environment and have a basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation and ability to use general office equipment. 
• Must have a thorough knowledge of credit union documents, reports, policies and procedures.
