What You’ll Do The Bookkeeper role will own and manage internal bookkeeping/accounting functions including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Bank transactions and reconciliations, and Credit Card transactions and reconciliations. This role will also assist in daily bookkeeping activities, and during month-end close. How You’ll Do It • Use Quickbooks Online and Excel to perform all bookkeeping related functions • Learn internal processes to carry out A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and transactional functions • Download bank and credit card activity to QBO on a regular basis, and do monthly reconciliations • Weekly payable bills processing: enter bills into QBO, compile an approval report, and clear bills in QBO after payment has been made • Monthly and weekly client invoicing through QBO and SaaSant: Create and send client invoices monthly, and one-off invoicing weekly; receive client payments through various sources and book in QBO • Run a monthly A/R Aging Report and follow-up with clients on outstanding balances • Use Excel to pull and compile reports, and assist in biweekly payroll run, and month-end closing activities • Assist in other ad-hoc projects as needed • Build on existing accounting processes, and continue to improve them as necessary What We Expect of You • Timeliness of deliverables: A/P processing on a weekly basis to ensure on-time bill payment; A/R processing on a monthly basis for on-going clients, and weekly basis for one-off clients to ensure timely invoicing and receipt of payments; Assist in Payroll reporting and processing on a biweekly basis; Assist with month end closing within the first week of month end to generate financial statements within 15 days of month end • Accuracy in reporting and of financials: Review personal work thoroughly to verify accuracy of data entered and processed • Customer service: Deliver necessary information, documents, and/or reports to appropriate internal team and external clientele with a high touch customer service mindset • Process efficiency and improvement: Learn current processes that are in place, and make recommendations for process improvement to increase efficiencies in accounting related areas Key Competencies  Highly Organized: Efficient in completion of deliverables, able to prioritize own work.
