Description

The Accounting Associate I is responsible for completing a variety of administrative accounting tasks including reconcilements, reporting, data analysis and entry, tracking of bonds sold/purchased, and serves as a knowledgeable backup to other Accounting department team members.  The Accounting Associate I is expected to work well with others and maintain courteous and professional communications with coworkers and customers.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Associates degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.
3. Three-plus years of banking experience.
4. Proficient analytical and decision-making skills to research and resolve basic documentation issues and offer alternate solutions.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
7. Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting)
8. Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1. One plus year job-related experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Business, with emphasis in Accounting or Finance, or  equivalent educational experience.

HOURS

Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
