The Martis Camp Foundation (MCF) is looking for an Executive Director who is an experienced leader to partner with local nonprofit and community leaders to deliver positive change within the Truckee/North Tahoe area. The MCF represents a positive and growing force for the area and we are looking for the right executive to help leverage that potential for the many needs of the greater Truckee area.
The MCF has been a volunteer-led organization since our inception in 2010 and we are now at the place where we are seeking professional leadership to raise our participation rates as well as our dollars donated each year. We want the ED of the Martis Camp Foundation to be the face of Martis Camp homeowners in the community. We want the ED to inform Martis Camp members about the ideas and goals of the greater Truckee/North Tahoe community so that we can be inspired to give and help. Candidate Profile: Professional, self-motivated leader with 5-10 years’ experience in professional fundraising and exposure to nonprofits. Must have strategic skills as the ED has to understand the needs of the area and how to best be a positive influence within the Martis Camp and Truckee/North Tahoe communities. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to build connections to the Martis Camp community and larger community. ED should be personable as the face of the Foundation with local organizations and businesses. It is important to have an ED who is empathetic and positive and excited to help. ED should be a matchmaker, i.e. someone who is good at understanding skills of individuals and then connecting people and encouraging them to work together.
Bachelor's degree required.
Pre-employment drug screen required.
The MCF Executive Director will report directly to the Chair of the Martis Camp Foundation and be guided in their work by the MCF Board of Directors. Under the guidance of the Board of Directors of the Martis Camp Foundation, the Executive Director will manage all aspects of the MCF as set forth below.
