*The internal title for this role is 'Talent Management Partner'.  This is an HR Generalist role and will support employee relations and talent acquisition.  The ideal candidate for this role is currently working in a similar capacity in a healthcare services organization*

 

The Talent Management Partner will provide strategic business support for assigned affiliates.  He/She provides on-site employee relations and recruitment support to all employees consistent with Masonicare’s mission, vision and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Function as a confidential resource for staff and assist with any employment related concerns that they may have in a timely, professional manner.
  • Work with management regarding employee relations issues and provide guidance and coaching as needed.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assist management in interpreting HR policies and advise how to address any violations of these policies.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and make recommendations as to the outcomes of these investigations.
  • Assist management with the creation of employee development plans by identifying training needs for teams and individuals.
  • Assist in the creation of management training materials.
  • Performs a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical recruitment functions for assigned jobs and affiliates.Coordinates all recruitment and selection functions.
  • Review open positions with supervisors to clarify requirements, to establish selection processes and advertising needs, etc. Work collaboratively with them throughout the hiring process to complete the search in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Develop initiatives to reduce turnover and improve retention.Support managers in their efforts to increase employee morale and satisfaction.

  • Screen applications, interview qualified applicants and arrange for second interviews with appropriate supervisory staff.  Tandem interviews with supervisory staff to develop interview skills.
  • Partners with other members of human resources to consistently improve the Masonicare performance evaluation process, succession planning strategies and overall HR Operations.
  • Review Department of Labor Unemployment Compensation claims, determine appropriate response, and take action, as well as, coordinate responses to unemployment hearings.
  • Consult with legal counsel on employee relations issues, terminations, etc. on an as needed basis.
  • Recommend changes to HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintains spreadsheets as appropriate for tracking progress/metrics. Utilizes VISTA HRMS system.
  •  Incumbent should be knowledgeable in applicable State and Federal laws and regulations in order to ensure non-discriminatory practices are followed in all recruitment and selection processes.  Participates in professional activities to keep abreast of technical and legal developments.
  • Travels throughout the state of CT to assigned branch offices/affiliates, as needed. Collaborates with and provides training to hiring managers with regards to interviewing/selection process.
  • Ensure timely processing of employee changes and termination for HRIS processing.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:                  Bachelor’s degree or pursuing REQUIRED

Experience:                 3-5 years Human Resources experience required, including 2 years’ generalist/recruitment experience.   Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Key Competencies:    Proficient use of Microsoft software including, but not limited to:  Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and other required software.  Experience with computer data entry, word processing and creation of reports.  Ability to work well with others.   Demonstrates organizational, written and verbal skills.   Demonstrates high-level interpersonal skills.  Demonstrates knowledge of employment and benefit laws and regulations.
