Method Studios, LA is currently looking for a Pipeline TD. Pipeline TDs help shape the evolution of our technologies and workflows to enable productions to work more quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support production software (tools) and frameworks.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• TD support and development tasks.
• Work with other teams to standardize tools, libraries, frameworks, workflows and conventions.
• Ensure TDs contribute to the code base according to company software practices.
• Get involved in code reviews and process pull requests.
• Work with developers to setup demos and communicate updates, new tools, and bugs to all of production.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in VFX across multiple disciplines.
• 5+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience working directly with production teams.
• Experience with VFX applications (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, RV...)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with render farm software.
• Expertise in C++ and shell scripting.
