Metric Engineering is looking for a CADD Manager to join our Orlando/Lake Mary engineering team!

As an enthusiastic and highly motivated engineering professional, you will  join an established transportation consulting firm that will offer you growth and development by working within a multi-disciplinary team supporting various tasks and related deliverables for ongoing transportation projects.

CAD Manager Responsibilities and Duties Company Wide
  • Provide technical support and direction to CAD designer companywide
  • Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the area of CAD
  • Manage CAD software for company
    • Test updates or software changes before implementation to company
    • Monitor and maintain FDOT server
      • Responsible for Updates
      • Any server changes for Company Wide Standards
    • Implement Server install instead of local install for FDOT Software similar to Lake Mary office
  • Train and monitor CAD users in core application skills and standards
    • Train in-house support staff
      • On current FDOT Software
      • On New FDOT Connect
    • Provide technical support and direction to CAD users
    • Supply technical support for all CAD software
    • Develop Companywide standards for CADD users and production
  • QAQC of CAD deliverables for submittals
    • QAQC of 3D modeling
    • QAQC of CADD.zip
  • Archive completed projects
  • Projectwise (Company Wide)
    • Manage Projectwise
    • Setup Projects for Projectwise
    • Setup Users for Projects on Projectwise
    • Training and support to Cad designers
  • Bluebeam/Adobe Software
    • Training User on markups and comments for QAQC using software
    • Create and Implement Companywide Stamps for Seals and QAQC
