As a tactical field sales leader, the Account Manager is the owner of all customer focused initiatives. Reporting to the District Manager, s/he will ensure the district’s sales, profitability and customer growth initiatives and profitability for the assigned District. The Account Manager will interact cross-functionally with Operations & Purchasing leaders and direct the customer specific strategic activities of our inside sales & customer service teams to drive business in the rapidly evolving two-step building products and premium door markets. Scope includes achieving annual sales & profit plans; identifying, securing and accelerating growth of target accounts; identifying and accelerating penetration of new products and brands; successfully accelerating the commercialization of existing products/services; establishing and defending value propositions across multiple customer channels and segments; driving sales strategies; and, most importantly, hold accountability for achieving sales and gross profit targets.

Specific Responsibilities
Account Manager responsibilities will include:
1.Educate customers on Mid-Am services, products and value differentiators.
2.Achieve sales and gross profit goals through the recruitment, development, training, evaluation and management of the assigned customer base.
3.Determine targeted customer account potential,establish sales goals for those accounts, and be held accountable for achieving those goals.
4.Achieve upper quartile performance in these key areas–Revenue Growth, Gross Profit %/dollars, Product Category Throughput, New Accounts and targeted category revenue performance.
5. Lead development and implementation of product sales strategy for assigned markets, working with cross-functional teams to integrate the Mid-Am value proposition consistently across all touch points.
6. Provide a creative, simple approach to commercializing the value of Mid-Am’s products and services to all customer channels.
7. Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the Enterprise.
8. Effectively articulate and optimally position the value of our solutions to increase win rates.
9. Develop and utilize specific product-focused sales support collateral and competitive intelligence including presentations, case studies, sell-through assets, and internal documentation to enable sales teams to increase win rates and close deals.
10. Create product guides, value selling programs, sample/display programs, and brand positioning decks aligned for target audiences and markets that reflect value proposition, brand personality and key messages.
11. Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share and identify new markets.
12. Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
13. Develop lead generation content and corresponding email marketing strategies, suitable for business development, strategic partnerships, sales, and other channels.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related major desired, but not required.
