MONDAY NIGHT BREWING Shift Brewer (West Midtown) Salary in the United States

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) is seeking an experienced shift brewer to join our tight-knit, growing team. This is a full-time position, available immediately. This role will report to the Head Brewer.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of professional brewery experience (cellar and/or brewhouse)
• Must have the ability to work alone and with others
• Must have a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Working knowledge of brewery inventory and operation software (Ekos, Brewer’s Dashboard)
• A degree or certification in brewing science preferred, but not required
• Safety-mindedness is of the utmost importance (lifting, chemicals, hot liquids and hardware, inhalation hazards, noise)
• Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed
• Willingness to teach and lead others when needed

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Wort production
2. Yeast management
3. Monitoring of product throughout fermentation
4. All aspects of cellar work - including CIP/SIP of fermentation, bright beer tanks and packaging equipment, dry hopping and fining in process beer, and racking and carbonating finished beer
5. QA/QC duties, including sensory evaluation and lab work
6. General brewery cleaning
7. Attend industry events and provide support to sales/marketing departments when needed
8. Raw materials monitoring, receiving and handling
9. Collaborate with Brewmaster, Head Brewer and brewing team on any processes that may impact beer quality
10. Follow written SOP’s; accountable for SOP execution
11. Monitoring brewing and processing of batches to control quality, consistency and efficiency
12. Monitoring, executing and reporting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly cleaning and maintenance tasks
13. Ensure and maintain the highest safety standards for production and brewery staff
14. Communicate daily with Head Brewer on scheduled tasks, issues encountered, and priorities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Stands and/or traverses brewery for long periods of time.
• Frequently climbs stairs/staircase.
• Frequently bends, moves, transports, or lifts 60 pounds and move 165 pounds safely.
• Use repetitive motions.
• Can work in both hot and cold temperatures.
• Can complete all of the above tasks with a positive attitude.

COMPENSATION

Competitive, based on experience
