What does an ABC Sales, Service & Tag Agent (2063) do at companies like NATIONAL GENERAL INSURANCE?
ABC Insurance Agencies, a National General Insurance company, is currently hiring for a Sales, Service and Tag Agent. This position is responsible for handling inbound sales telephone calls as well as service calls regarding underwriting, marketing, billing, and endorsement inquiries from current and potential insured. These inquiries would include providing rate quotes, selling new policies, cross-selling other products, documenting calls, researching, calculating billing amounts, analyzing and processing policy transactions, and correcting company records. This position also requires outbound calling required to follow-up on sales leads or additional customer information. This position will require working in a team-oriented environment and meeting key performance metrics such as sales, productivity, and quality requirements.
In addition, the duties of Sales, Service and Tag Agent, the SST will perform the duties of public tag agent as defined in the State of Louisiana. These include:
- Collect the registration license taxes, as well as applicable sales and use taxes, and to issue registration certificates and license plates for vehicles.
- Receive and process applications filed for certificates of title, duplicate certificates of title, and corrected certificates of title.
- Perform additional transactions such as recording of liens, mortgages, or security interests against motor vehicles, conversions of plates, transfers of plates, replacements of lost or stolen plates and/or stickers, registration renewals, duplicate registrations, and other applications or transactions as authorized by the commissioner.
Minimum Skills and Competencies:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Prior sales experience required; previous experience in a customer service/sales contact center, processing center or retail environment is advantageous
- Candidates should demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, proficient keyboarding skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and above average math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office desired
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment is a must
- Ability to pass test and obtain P&C license
- Must have or obtain Notarial Commission
- Must pass a Louisiana State Police background check
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Property and Casualty insurance industry experience
- Agents license or prior insurance background is a plus
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish) highly preferred
