JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Specialist supports the Accounting department and its’ sub departments of Account Receivables.  Matching and recording invoices, processing fee checks and other data entry. They will also assist in data gathering for financial audits within the company accounting systems, report findings to upper management, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve on project team for Customer Account Analysis- Unapplied
• Focused research and reconciliation of customer unapplied cash balances
• Collaborates with AR Cash Applications & Collections Team for reconciliation efforts
• Reviews various systems to collect data regarding customer payments
• Retrieves bank remittance details via internet portals
• Packages and prepares customer details for further analysis via Reconciliation Checklist
• Utilizes best judgment and takes accountability for work performed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
• Excel Proficiency – Intermediate user (Must be able to perform VLOOKUP, formatting, formula creation/update, Text-to-Columns, and organize/update Pivot tables)
• Ability to analyze large sets of data
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Previous Accounts Receivable (Cash Applications) experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Flexibility and attention to detail
• Ability to navigate through the Internet, MS Office, and email
• Ability to analyze, develop, initiate, and implement plans and strategies to achieve goals
• Must have strong computer skills, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheet software
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
